Sauk Valley has 34 new COVID-19 cases Monday

The Whiteside County Health Department announced four new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, as well as 13 recoveries. The new cases involve two people in their 30s as well as a person in their 20s and a person in their 80s.

For the week ending Sept. 20, Whiteside County had 61 new cases, up from 49 the previous week. Of those, 10 were people over the age of 70, an age group that saw just two new cases in Whiteside County Sept. 7-13. New cases in people under 20 and ages 40-49 were slightly down.

Lee County announced six new cases Monday, including one from Dixon Correctional Center. Other than the correctional center case, the new cases in Lee County involved two people in their 20s, one in their 40s, one in their 50s and one in their 60s. In addition, three Lee County residents were considered recovered and lifted off of isolation.

Ogle County announced 22 new cases on Monday, two from Saturday, 11 from Sunday and nine from Monday.

Carroll County had two new COVID-19 cases Monday, one person in their 20s and one in their 30s.

Whiteside County has had 708 cases and 20 COVID-related deaths. Lee County has had 327 cases, 267 recoveries and one death. Ogle County has had 650 new cases, 551 recoveries and six deaths. Carroll County has had 216 cases and four deaths.

Illinois announced 1,477 new cases Monday with seven COVID-related deaths. The state has had 275,735 cases and 8,457 deaths.

Sterling has had 3,329 tests and 252 positive cases. Rock Falls has had 1,780 tests and 123 cases. Dixon has had 4,873 tests and 236 cases. Rochelle has had 3,287 tests and 305 cases.
