COVID-related death annoucned Friday in Whiteside County

The Whiteside County Health Department announced a COVID-19-related death of a person older than 80 on Friday, the 17th such death in the county.

The department also announced four new cases involving three people in their 20s and one older than 80, and seven recoveries.

Lee County announced three new cases, people in their 20s, 40s and 50s.

Carroll County reported five new cases – two children younger than 12, two people in their 30s and one in his or her 40s.

Ogle County did not report any new cases.

Whiteside County has had 352 COVID-19 cases and 17 deaths. Lee County has had 164 cases, 133 recoveries and one death. Ogle County has had 415 cases, 370 recoveries and five COVID-related deaths. Carroll County has had 66 total cases and four deaths.

Statewide there were 2,084 new cases and 21 deaths on Friday. Illinois has seen 190,508 cases and 7,613 COVID-related deaths.

Sterling has had 1,676 people tested and 134 cases. Rock Falls has had 992 tested and 68 cases. Dixon has had 3,043 tested and 140 cases. Rochelle has had 2,154 tested and 195 cases.
