New Popeyes coming to Romeoville

The village of Romeoville announced it will see a new Popeyes restaurant.

The village said in a press release it continues to see new construction projects despite the current challenging economic environment.

Popeyes submitted a concept plan for the new restaurant along Weber Road and near Airport Road in front of Blain's Farm & Fleet. The building will be 2,300 square feet and have a parking lot for 30 cars.

“We look forward to working with Popeyes to bring this new development to Weber Road,” Romeoville Mayor John Noak said in the release.

The Popeyes restaurant will join two other construction projects underway in that Weber Road corridor, according to the village.

An urgent care facility and a Jiffy Lube also are being built. The village also approved a new rental community just south of Blain's Farm & Fleet.
