Neponset American Legion, Psycho Silo to host Fourth of July celebration

Psycho Silo Saloon and the Neponset American Legion Post 875 have teamed up to present a Fourth of July celebration on Saturday, July 4, at Psycho Silo, located near the intersection Routes 6 and 40.

The event will include live music, food and a motorcycle/car show. At 3 p.m., the Neponset American Legion will present a patriotic program, including the presentation of colors along with bag piper playing service hymns and 21-gun salute.

Post chaplain, Lt. Col. Dick Wells (retired), will offer a prayer and post commander, Col. Gary Miller (retired), will provide brief remarks.

The American Legion Post will also hold a drawing for Henry lever-action rifle and Sig Sauer compact pistol. All tickets are sold; however, raffle tickets are still available for a Remington 870 shotgun and Ruger Vaquero 45 pistol. Tickets are three for $20 and limited to 500.
