A sweet treat: Ollie's Frozen Custard in Sycamore will re-open Thursday with strict drive-thru rules

SYCAMORE - Just in time for warmer weather this week, Ollie's Frozen Custard, 2290 Oakland Drive in Sycamore will re-open for customers using a drive-thru window only, to ensure visitors can get their sweet treat fix while safely social distancing amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to a social media post Wednesday, the popular family custard spot will re-open at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, and will be drive-thru only until Gov. JB Pritzker's ongoing stay-at-home order is lifted or guidance is given per the Illinois Department of Public Health.

Thursday's flavors of the day include vanilla, chocolate, blueberry cheesecake and chocolate chip cheesecake.

The walk-in window will not be open for safety reasons.

"Once the stay-at-home order is lifted we will go back to the walk up window," the post reads.

Ollie's will remain open through December 23, according to the statement, with winter hours coming this fall.
