Will County reports 97 more cases of COVID-19

The Will County Health Department announced 97 cases of COVID-19, bringing the county total up to 2,927 as of Sunday afternoon.

However, three of the deaths reported Saturday have been reclassified to other counties, according to the health department.

In addition, the health department also reported one new death, a male in his 50s. This brings the total number of deaths in Will County to 163.

In all, 1,439 males in Will County have tested positive, along with 1,475 females and 13 unknowns due to insufficient documentation as of Sunday.

The Illinois Department of Public Health is currently reporting a total of 61,499 cases, including 2,618 deaths, in 97 counties in Illinois.

The age of cases ranges from younger than a year old to older than 100 years.

Within the past 24 hours, laboratories have processed 19,417 tests for a total of 319,313 positive cases.
