Three Floridians were arrested in Will County, with two charged with stealing a woman’s purse, according to court records.

On late Monday evening, Lisa Gay Butts, 47, of Pompano Beach; Tyron Wesley Parker, 38, of Lauderdale Lakes; and Mercedes Renee Stamm, 26, of Fort Lauderdale, all were booked into the Will County jail after they were arrested by Illinois State Police.

Butts and Parker were charged with theft, according to a criminal complaint.

Parker was also charged with lying to a state trooper by saying Stamm’s name was Pupochao, according to the complaint.

Stamms was charged with falsely claiming her name was Maria Hinacy Pupochao, according to the complaint.

Stamms was also charged with possessing and displaying a “fictitious or unlawfully altered” identification card.

State police Sgt. Jacqueline Cepeda would only confirm Wednesday that the three people were arrested.

“Due to an ongoing investigation, no additional details are being released at this time,” Cepeda said.

The complaint against the three defendants said Butts was previously convicted of felony larceny in Onslow County, North Carolina, and Parker was previously convicted of robbery in Broward County, Florida.

Parker’s bond was set at $50,000, Stamm’s bond was set at $50,200 and Butts’ bond is $25,000, according to jail records. The three would have to post 10% of their bonds to be released from jail.

A Will County judge ordered Butts to have no contact with the alleged victim in the case.
