DeKALB – This fall, the Northern Illinois University dancers are reprising “Weird Scenes Inside the Goldmine,” the original dance created by professor Judy Chitwood based on the music and life of rock legend Jim Morrison and The Doors.
The School of Theatre and Dance welcomes dance teacher Joel Hall, jazz master from Chicago.
His dancers are known for their joyous blend of jazz, ballet, modern and street dance techniques.
In addition, the dance concert will be a celebration of the many facets of dance expression, including modern, classical, and contemporary ballet and jazz.
Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 21 to 23 and 2 p.m. Nov. 23 and 24 in the O'Connell Theatre in the NIU Stevens Building,
200 University Circle, DeKalb.
Tickets cost $17 for adults, $14 for seniors, $9 for students and $6 for children.
