SYCAMORE – On Sunday, Nov. 17, Bethel Assembly of God will welcome missionary Bill Snider to speak at the 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services.
Bill and his wife, Kim Snider, founded and continue to direct Asia Pacific Media, launching the ministry in 1988 in Manila. Asia Pacific Media is the media arm for the Assemblies of God World Missions in Asia and the Pacific.
Following the ministry theme, “His Message, Multiplied,” AP Media seeks to empower Christian leaders in Asia and the Pacific Islands to use and produce media to effectively spread the Gospel. This is done through training Asian believers in video production, writing, using social media and other media workshops, and also through the production of media tools – short videos, documentary stories, radio programs, TV shows, home videos and movies – where native actors, speakers and indigenous languages are used.
Asia Pacific Media presently works in the Philippines, Myanmar, Cambodia, Indonesia and Japan; and partners with ministries in Taiwan and Dubai.
Bill is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Central Bible College and has a master’s degree from Asia Pacific Theological Seminary. He also pursued doctoral studies at Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. He also is on the board of Convoy of Hope, Philippines, and has served on the World Assemblies of God Fellowship’s Mission Commission.
Kim is a graduate of the University of Illinois, has a master’s degree from Southern Illinois University and a Ph.D. in Intercultural Education from Biola University. She has served on faculty at Asia Pacific Theological Seminary teaching mission and education classes.
She also taught writing seminars in the Philippines and is executive editor for MOMS, a quarterly magazine for Filipino women. She also has written two books.
Bill and Kim Snider also served as area directors of Assemblies of God personnel in Southeast Asia for 19 years from 1998-2017.
Bethel Assembly of God is at 131 W. Elm St. in Sycamore.
