u Deputies investigated a single-vehicle rollover crash at about 10:45 p.m. Saturday at North 46th and East 2750th roads in Northville Township. The vehicle was traveling north on 2750th when it left the road to the west near 46th and rolled over. The driver was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove by helicopter. The passenger was taken to Valley West Hospital in Sandwich by Somonauk emergency personnel. The names of those in the vehicle were not released by press time. The crash remains under investigation.

u Deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash at about 3 p.m. Friday at West County Line Road and Chicago Road. The driver of the vehicle had been picked up and left the scene, leaving the vehicle behind. The vehicle was traveling south on County Line when the driver disregarded the stop sign, left the road and struck a ditch, phone utility box and a cement post. Kassidy McCoy, 22, of Earlville, was identified as the driver, and issued citations for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and expired registration. McCoy reported minor injuries.

u Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at about 7 p.m. Friday at Route 30 and Leland Road. Mark Moser, 60, of Sandwich, was traveling east on Route 30, slowing to turn south onto Leland Road, and Tim Poundstone, 54, was also eastbound on Route 30 and failed to see Moser’s vehicle, striking it and forcing Moser’s vehicle into the ditch. Poundstone was cited on a complaint of failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. No injuries were reported.

u Streator firefighters responded to an alarm at 1:43 p.m. Friday at 609 N. Everett St.; it was a false alarm.

u Streator firefighters responded at 8:03 p.m. Friday to 404 S. Fifth Ave. for an activated carbon monoxide detector; they found nothing.

u Streator firefighters responded at 4:38 p.m. Saturday to 609 N. Everett St.; burnt food activated the alarm.

u Streator firefighters responded at 6:11 p.m. Saturday to 111 Spring St. for a small fire in a debris pile. The fire was extinguished.

u Streator firefighters responded at 8:37 p.m. Saturday to a mutual aid call with Grand Ridge emergency personnel for a water rescue near the Sandy Ford Bridge; the subjects were down a ravine near the Vermilion River. Two individuals were rescued. No injuries were reported.

u Streator firefighters responded at 7:15 a.m. Sunday to 306 Rush St. for a light fixture that arced.

u Streator firefighters responded to an alarm at 1:04 p.m. Sunday to 606 E. Morrell St.; steam from a shower activated the alarm.
