The Yorkville Police Department secured a felony arrest warrant for Javier Perea-Hernandez, 21, of the 600 block of North Rosedale Avenue, Aurora, on Feb. 6, on charges of robbery, two counts of aggravated battery, and retail theft, in connection with an investigation into an incident that occurred at the Yorkville Target on Jan. 26.
Perea-Hernandez was taken into custody without incident, shortly after securing the arrest warrant, and was being held Wednesday at the Kendall County Correctional Center on $7,500 bond.
Yorkville police were assisted by the Batavia Police Department, North Aurora Police Department, Aurora Police Department, U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office, Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office, and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.
