SYCAMORE – A DeKalb man accused of raping two women will have a hearing Wednesday during which his bond could be reduced from $100,000.
Dionte L. Caradine, 27, of the 900 block of West Hillcrest Drive, has been charged with two counts of criminal sexual assault. If convicted, Caradine could face four to 15 years in prison.
Court records show that two women say Caradine raped them – one on Dec. 1, 2017, and the other on Oct. 30, 2018. After Caradine was arrested on a warrant, DeKalb County Judge William Brady set bond at $100,000. The county’s public defender office immediately filed a motion to reduce bond, and it will go before Chief Judge Robbin Stuckert at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
Caradine has been convicted twice of resisting a police officer, and got a year and a half of conditional discharge in both of those cases.
