DeKALB – The sale of local progressive talk radio station 92.5 FM-WCPT has been finalized, according to WCPT’s general manager, Mark Pinski.
The station was purchased in September by Educational Media Foundation, a California nonprofit that operates radio networks such as K-Love and Air1 featuring contemporary Christian music.
The sale was pending approval by the Federal Communications Commission, which was just granted, Pinski said.
Local listeners shouldn’t worry, however. The progressive station will continue to broadcast at 820 AM out of Chicago and online at WCPT820.com.
