DALZELL — Alan V. Goodrick, 74, of Dalzell passed away at 8:56 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018, at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley.
Born May 27, 1944, in Spring Valley to Winfield and Katherine (Podobinski) Goodrick, he married Mary Jean Cattani Sept. 21, 1963, in St. Thomas More Church. She survives.
He was a retired iron worker. He was a member of the Dalzell Gun Club, Iron Workers Local 386 and St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
Also surviving are one daughter, Traci Zera of Peru; one son, Jeff (Kati) Goodrick of Peru; one granddaughter, Hannah Zera of Peru; one grandson, Cole Goodrick of Peru; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Dulcy Wiese; and two brothers, Henry Flohr and Normand Goodrick.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, in St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Dalzell with Father Pat Fixsen officiating. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park Cemetery in Spring Valley. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. in the church.
