Panda Express in Huntley plans grand opening ceremony

Huntley's new Panda Express has set a date for its grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony. The restaurant opened earlier this month at
12340 Route 47 near Regency Parkway.

The event is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. July 14. For all sales that day, 20 percent will be given to the Grafton Food Pantry.

Huntley approved concept plans for the quick-service casual Chinese restaurant chain in June 2017.

Panda Express originated in 1983 in California. It operates numerous restaurants across the U.S., including in McHenry, Crystal Lake and Algonquin, according to its website.
