Karen S. Magana

MORRISON – Karen S. Magana, 53, of Morrison, died Wednesday, June 6, 2018, near Thomson. She was employed as a registered nurse in various local employment.

Karen was born Sept. 18, 1964, in Morrison, to Ivan Joe and Marsha A. (Paschal) Kaufman. She married Alex J. Magana on Feb. 20, 1993, in Rock Falls.

Survivors include her husband, Alex; her mother, Marsha Kaufman of Morrison; one daughter, Rachel Magana of Morrison; one son, Gregory Magana of New York City; two stepdaughters, Claire Bianco of Sterling and Anne Kowal of Aurora; two sisters, Kelli (Dragan) Petrovic and Susan (Philip) Joines, both of Morrison; and two brothers, Mike (Tina) Kaufman of Morrison and Jeff (Laura) Kaufman of Carmel, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Kaufman.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Robert Livsey, pastor, officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded.

A memorial has been established by the family.
