Dorothy's Diamonds recently made a trip to Savannah, Georgia; Charleston, South Carolina; and Jekyll Island, Georgia. The group rode the trolley in Savannah with stops at St. John's church, center parks and monuments as well as dining and shopping. Jamie Dean happened to be at the Paula Dean Restaurant when they were there. The evening was topped off with dinner at the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum. The group also visited historic Charleston and its famous market square. At St. Simons and Jekyll Island the group took a tram ride to see restored cottages once known as the private Millionaire's Club and Rockefeller's home. Dorothy Lockard will donate proceeds from the trip to the Rochelle Township High School Band for their DC trip and to the Country Kitchen restaurant. Dorothy's Diamonds will travel to Boston in August and Branson in November. For information, call 815-384-5325.
