Michael A. Stramka

NEOSHO, Mo. – Michael Anthony Stramka, 55, of Neosho, passed away peacefully Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at his home among family and friends.

He was born July 4, 1962, in Sterling. He married Beverly Weidel on Oct. 10, 2010, at their home in Neosho, Missouri. He graduated from Sterling High School and Tulsa Welding School in Oklahoma. He had many jobs, ranging from Steel Ball Header Room, NW Railroad, tree trimming, and ending at Simmons, working as a millwright, fabricator. He was considered one of the best tig-mig welders they ever had. Mike loved to teach his skills to others, and was just an all-around generous and kind man. Many times, Beverly heard “he made an impression on me and I will never forget him.” He loved steam engines, trains, people, and his pets. Lady Jane was the best. Michael and Beverly’s pets Booger, Rennagade, Ozzy, and Boo will miss him very much.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly (Weidel) Stramka; parents, Robert and Glenda (Hulbert) Stramka; brother, Patrick Stramka, his wife, Trina (Williams) Stramka, and their children, Anthony, Kolten, and Jax Stramka and Sydney, Erika, and Kamryn Austin; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a brother, Mark Steven Stramka.

A celebration of life will be planned on or near Mike’s birthday on July 4. Details will be posted at a later date.
