For Janette Garza, it’s love at first B’lush.

She and her husband, Chris Garza, opened B’lush Salon on Oct. 23 at 806 E. Third St., in the spot formerly occupied by Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio, which reopened downtown under new ownership in May.

Garza, 38, is no stranger to the area. The 1997 Sterling High grad attended Educators of Beauty and worked at area salons before deciding to open her own studio. Several of her five stylists are people with whom she has worked, and she’s on the hunt for two more.

While B’lush specializes in colors and blowouts, all hair services are provided, as well as manicures, pedicures, waxes and Nova lash eyelash extensions.

She's planning a grand opening from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 8, In the meantime, she's open from 10 a.m. to
8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to
7 p.m. on Friday and from
8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

After looking at a list of potential names she was going to pick Blush, but went with B’lush after her sister suggested adding the apostrophe.
