Domestic battery arrest

Yorkville police arrested Erek Drew, 24, of the 2000 block of Old Glory Drive, Yorkville, on charges of domestic battery Sept. 7 following an investigation where police learned Drew battered a female family member, police said.

Battery

Yorkville police investigated an incident Sept. 8 at a business in the 100 block of Commercial Drive where a customer allegedly battered a business owner, and the owner then allegedly threatened the customer with a taser gun and told him to leave the business.

Spray paint vandalism

Police took a report of a vehicle spray painted with black undercoating spray paint overnight on Sept. 8 in the 1900 block of Sunny Dell Court, and a report of a parked vehicle that had an obscenity spray painted on it overnight on Sept. 8 in the 900 block of Fawn Ridge Court.

Harassed on Facebook

Yorkville police took a report from a resident of the 500 block of West Barberry Circle on Sept. 7 that they were being harassed via Facebook.

No valid license

Yorkville police ticketed and released Travis A. Sweigart, 43, of the 9000 block of Route 71, Yorkville, on Sept. 7 for having an expired driver's license and speeding following a traffic stop in the area of McHugh Road and Somonauk Street. Sweigart's vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.

Ticketed after hitting grill

Yorkville police ticketed Rudolph Robles, 46, of the 1500 block of Orchard Place, Arlington Heights, on Sept. 7 at 11:24 p.m. after police said they responded to a call in the area of Route 47 and Galena Road for a vehicle that had struck a cooking grill in the roadway. Police ticketed Robles for operating an uninsured vehicle.
