Connie King

PRINCETON — Connie S. King, 71, of Princeton passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.

Connie was born Dec. 17, 1945, in Princeton to Robert E. Sr. and Doris E. Miller. She married Richard W. King on June 13, 1970, in Princeton.

She was a 1964 Princeton High School graduate and graduated from Illinois State University in 1968. She was a special education teacher in Princeton for many years.

Connie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and community member. She was very family-oriented and loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Connie was a very proud homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and sharing her produce with family and friends. She was also an avid pet lover.

Connie is survived by her husband, Richard of Princeton; one son, Timothy (Jessica) King of Cary; one daughter, Kathryn (Ryan) Sudol of Hong Kong; four grandchildren, Gavin King, Mia Sudol, Cameron Sudol and Ian King; two brothers, Robert Jr. (Kathy) Miller of East Peoria and Craig Miller of Morris; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister-in-law, Kaye Miller.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, April 3, at the Norberg Memorial Home in Princeton with Pastor Brian Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow at the Elm Lawn Memorial Park in Princeton.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 2, at the funeral home.
