Elmhurst Chiefs squirt green team takes tournament title

ELMHURST – A trip up north over the Martin Luther King Day weekend paid off for the Elmhurst Chiefs squirt green team.

Competing in the 2017 Dells Water Park Classic, the Chiefs went 2-0-1 to bring home the gold division title.

After tying 2-2 in the first game, the Chiefs won their next two games by a combined 13-6 score, including a 7-5 win against the Glenview Bombers in the championship game on Jan. 16.

Players on the team are: Danny Bianchi, Hans Bjorlin, RJ Brodersen, Kyle Bunnis, Owen Chael, Ben Dizillo, Jaxon Flakus, Luca Gattone, Matt Gleason, Ryan Kearney, Griffin Kramer, Nick Pellegrino, Alex Pisano and Drew Vogel.

The team is coached by Joel Bianchi and Kris Bjorlin.
