On Sunday, Sept. 18, Mr. and Mrs. Carlo Olivero of Dalzell were surprised in advance with a celebration to honor their 65th wedding anniversary by some of their children, nephews and other friends with a dinner.
The couple were married Sept. 22, 1951. They are the parents of seven children, Sue and Paul Logan, William and Karen Olivero, Nancy Olivero, Robert and Kerin Olivero, Judy Olivero, Jean and Terry Lee and Beth and Hoe Mercede. They also have 11 grandchildren.
Prior to retirement, Carlo was a school teacher and his wife, Elizabeth “Liz” was a housewife.
