Dayton-Scoma

Krista Dayton and Jeffrey Scoma were united in marriage during an evening ceremony on June 4, 2016, at Old St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Chicago with Father Thomas Hurley officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Connis and John Dayton of Grinnell, Iowa. The groom is the son of Nancy Scoma of Princeton and the late Paul Scoma.

Suzanne Hanson, friend of the bride, was the matron of honor and Betsey Simonson, friend of the bride, was the maid of honor. Emelia Dayton, niece of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid. Rylee Dayton and Avonlea Dayton, nieces of the bride, were flower girls.

Chris Scoma, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Derek Dickinson and Maciek Wojtas, both friends of the groom. Everett Dayton, Wrigley Dayton and Milan Dayton, nephews of the bride, were ring bearers. Readers were John Dayton, father of the bride, and Eric Dayton, brother of the bride.

The couple was honored during a reception at Little Goat Diner in Chicago. Chris Scoma, best man and brother of the groom, provided a tribute toast to honor their father, the late Paul Scoma.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Grinnell High School, Grinnell, Iowa. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Augustana College, Rock Island, in 2009, and Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2012 from Temple University, Philadelphia, Pa. She is employed as a physical therapist at Rush/Oak Park Hospital.

The groom is a 2005 graduate of Princeton High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Accounting from Augustana College in 2009. He is employed as an auditor with the USDA Office of Inspector General in Chicago.

Following a honeymoon to St. Lucia, the couple resides in Chicago.
