PRINCETON — The Princeton Christian Academy Scholastic Bowl team completed its second season by hosting the Prairie Conference Meet.
The PCA team narrowly fell in the first round to Peru Catholic who ended up winning the conference title, also beating Lostant and Deer Park, who took second and third respectively.
The team is composed of sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students and is coached by Principal Tom Odell and science instructor Steve Cornman. Eighth-grade students are Eliza Atkinson, Katherine Henrikson and Hanah Hart; seventh graders are Jerrey Nelson, Anya Bauer and J’Kira Wolbrecht; and sixth graders are Paul Hart, Benjamin Henrikson, Andrea Imsland, Miguel Jones, Andrew Knipper, Nick Mecum, Graeham Rumley, Cozy Wolbrecht and Eliana Gale. PCA was able to field two teams for invitational meets, and this young team shows much promise.
