Pace will restructure several of its routes in central and western DuPage County this summer, including a new Route 722 Ogden Avenue, according to a Pace news release.
Route 722 will operate every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday from the Naperville Metra Station and the Yorktown Center in Lombard. The change will affect the communities of Naperville, Lisle, Downers Grove, Woodridge and Lombard.
Because the new route will overlap some of the current routes, Pace will adjust or consolidate some of its other routes:
• Route 714 College of DuPage - Naperville - Wheaton Connector will cut out the portion of its route that overlaps with the new route on Ogden Avenue. It will be rerouted to Washington Street and Diehl Road in Naperville.
• Route 829 Lisle - Naperville Office Corridor overlaps enough that it will be combined with the new route. Route 722 will make all the Metra Station stops served by Route 829.
To improve efficiency in the Downers Grove neighborhood routes, Route 464 West Downers Grove will be incorporated into Route 821 IL 53/83rd Street - Belmont Metra Station and Route 462 Southwest Downers Grove will be consolidated.
Route 684 Naperville-Maplebrook and Route 686 Naperville-Old Farm will also be combined into a single route.
Pace will hold public hearings on the route changes:
• 5 to 7 p.m. March 29 at Naperville City Hall, 400 S. Eagle St.
• 5 to 7 p.m. March 30 at Lisle Village Hall, 925 Burlington Ave.
• 5 to 7 p.m. March 31 at Downers Grove Village Hall, 801 Burlington Ave.
