GENEVA
• A company van belonging to KDI Design, 427 N. Kirk Road, was reported damaged in an attempted burglary Sunday, Feb. 21. According to police reports, the rear latch was broken, causing about $50 in damage.
• A 32-inch flat screen TV and various promotional items valued at $5,000 were reported stolen Wednesday, Feb. 17, from a car parked in a townhouse lot on the 1400 block of Joshel Court.
• J.J. Cleaners, 1492 S. Randall Road, reported a burglary Wednesday, Feb. 17. According to police reports, the front glass door was damaged and two beige cash registers with $500 cash were taken. Damage to the door was estimated at $300.
ST. CHARLES
• Ashlyn E. Turner, 19, of the 500 block of Bailey Drive, Batavia, was charged Monday, Feb. 15, with underage drinking.
• Anthony R. Presta, 20, of the 36W600 block of River Grange Road, St. Charles, was charged Saturday, Feb. 13, with having a fake ID.
• Zachery D. Smith, 31, of the 400 block of Concord Drive, Streamwood, was charged Sunday, Feb. 14, with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of alcohol, disobeying a stop or yield sign, leaving the scene of an accident, driving without insurance and two counts of aggravated DUI.
• Brittany Ann Erdmann, 28, of the 300 block of South Fourth Street, St. Charles, was charged Saturday, Feb. 13, with criminal damage to property, obstructing or resisting police and battery.
• Joey Irizarry, 24, of the 4N000 block of Wiant Road, West Chicago, was charged Friday, Feb. 12, with retail theft.
• David Daniel Maldonado, 20, of the 0-100 block of Ashton Court, South Elgin, was charged Sunday, Feb. 7, with possession of marijuana.
• Marcus Andrew Shaw, 21, of the 200 block of Debruyne Street, St. Charles, was charged Sunday, Feb. 7, with possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Austin Jacob Stombres, 20, of the 1300 block of Midway Avenue, St. Charles, was charged Sunday, Feb. 7, with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Angela James Enriquez, 33, of the 100 block of North View Street, Hinckley, was arrested Friday, Feb. 12, on a warrant.
BATAVIA
• Beatriz Sanchez-Celaya, 56, of the 500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Aurora, was charged Monday, Feb. 22, with speeding and was arrested on a Kane County warrant for failing to appear in court on a charge of driving with a suspended license.
• Credit card fraud was reported Monday, Feb. 22, in the 1500 block of Haines Drive, Batavia.
• Casing around a fire extinguisher was reported damaged Monday, Feb. 22, in the 1300 block of East Wilson Street, Batavia.
• Target, 115 N. Randall Road, Batavia, reported Monday, Feb. 22, that $1,489.70 in merchandise was stolen on Wednesday, Feb. 10, and Wednesday, Feb. 17.
• A garage door was reported egged Sunday, Feb. 21, in the 600 block of Ridgelawn Trail, Batavia.
• A theft was reported Sunday, Feb. 21, in the 600 block of North River Street, Batavia.
• A vehicle’s window was reported damaged Saturday, Feb. 20, in the 1800 block of Suncast Lane, Batavia.
• A resident of the 1300 block of Towne Avenue, Batavia, reported a case of fraud Saturday, Feb. 20, that involved five transactions at Sam’s Club in Montgomery totaling $2,064.30.
• Alan Nogueda, 32, of the 1000 block of Terrace Lake, Aurora, was charged Saturday, Feb. 20, with battery.
• A resident of the 500 block of Church Street, Batavia, reported Saturday, Feb. 20, that he or she was a victim of identity theft, as he or she received Kohl’s and Victoria’s Secret credit cards in the mail, and his or her credit card score showed two other credit cards had been opened the same day.
• Unique D. Wagner, 20, of the 1300 block of East Wilson Street, Batavia, was arrested Thursday, Feb. 18, on an Aurora warrant for failing to appear in court on charges of aggravated assault and damage to property.
• Jason J. Bradshaw, 31, of the 100 block of South Van Nortwick Avenue, Batavia, was charged Thursday, Feb. 18, on possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance.
• Jeffrey D. Fredres, 35, of the 800 block of Kenmar Drive, Elburn, was charged Tuesday, Feb. 16, with retail theft from Menards, 300 N. Randall Road, Batavia.
• Edward E. Spitzer III, 24, of the 1000 block of Lorlyn Circle, Batavia, was charged Tuesday, Feb. 16, with aggravated assault.
• Ronald W. Gonet, 42, of the 4N200 block of Wiant Road, West Chicago, was charged Tuesday, Feb. 16, with battery.
• Richard W. Graham, 30, of the 800 block of Hearthstone Court, Aurora, was charged Wednesday, Feb. 17, with possession of a controlled substance.
• Joshua J. Hampton, 23, of the 1100 block of Wintergreen Terrace, Batavia, was arrested Wednesday, Feb. 17, on a Batavia warrant for failing to appear in court on a charge of driving with a suspended license.
• Gloria S. Garza, 19, of the 700 block of Charles Street, Aurora, was charged Sunday, Feb. 14, with underage drinking and improper lane use.
• Fraud involving unauthorized use of a credit card was reported Friday, Feb. 12, at Shell, 108 N. Batavia Ave., Batavia.
KANE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
• A 1999 Honda Civic was reported burglarized Thursday, Feb. 18, in the 40W800 block of Brown Road, Campton Hills. The dashboard plastic around the radio, a JVC Pandora DVD player valued at $500, reportedly was cracked and pulled away, as if someone was trying to remove it. The device’s 6-inch screen was also damaged, and a subwoofer valued at $94 was reported missing from the trunk.
• Laura A. Bailey, 50, of the 100 block of Snow Street, Sugar Grove, was charged Friday, Feb. 19, with battery following a fight at Calamity Jane’s, 9S593 Route 47, Sugar Grove Township.
• A resident of the 43W700 block of North Sunset Views Drive, Lily Lake, reported Friday, Feb. 19, that he received a call from someone purporting to be from the IRS. The caller claimed the resident was late in his back tax payments, and a warrant had been issued for his arrest by the FBI. The report indicated this is a common scam. No losses were reported.
• Police responded to Harley and Keslinger roads along the railroad tracks on Wednesday, Feb. 17, for a report of a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle reportedly had been stolen from a dealership in St. Charles.
• Courtney B. Quilhot, 18, of the 300 block of River Drive, DeKalb, was charged Wednesday, Feb. 17, with driving with a suspended license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after a collision on Route 38 west of LaFox Road.
