Dixon Police

Girl, 13, of Dixon; midnight Saturday in the 700 block of North Ottawa Avenue; runaway; released to a parent.

Cory M. Flynn, 34, of Dixon; 3:50 a.m. Sunday in the 700 block of West Second Street; aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery subsequent offense, and domestic battery; taken to Lee County Jail.

Two injured in two-vehicle wreck

DIXON – Two Sterling residents were injured Friday evening in a two-vehicle accident in Dixon.

James Allen, 75, was driving a Chevy Tahoe westbound on state Route 2 when he turned in front of an eastbound Dodge pickup driven by Daniel Coers, 21, of Sterling. Coers and his passenger, Lindsey Bradley, 21, also of Sterling, were transported from the scene by ambulance.

Allen refused treatment at the scene.

Allen was charged with two counts of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, a class 2 felony and a class 4 felony. He was also charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor charge, and failure to yield when turning left.

The collision remains under investigation.
