LOCKPORT – Three law students were awarded scholarships Wednesday by the Will County Women's Bar Association.
The students, who live in Will County, submitted an application to a six-member committee chaired by Judge Susan O'Leary.
Sarah Dankowski, of Joliet, is a second-year student at DePaul University College of Law. Dankowski worked seven years at the Circuit Clerk's Office, has served in the Illinois Army National Guard and was on the board of AFSCME Local 1028.
Dana Harold, of Manhattan, is a third-year student at Northern Illinois University College of Law. Harold founded the Justice and Pre-Law Society while attending the University of St. Francis and has worked as an intern and clerk with the Public Defender's Office.
Anna Nugent, of Manhattan, is a second-year student at John Marshall Law School. Nugent has served as a county judicial extern, assisting the courts and unrepresented parties.
