Police Reports: Lombard for Aug. 21

Assault

• Three men reportedly entered a home and assaulted a woman at 8:09 p.m. Aug. 7 in the 800 block of Foxworth Boulevard.

• A person was reportedly threatened with a knife at 9:52 p.m. Aug. 7 at Casey's, 415 North Ave.

Burglary

A driver's license and four packs of cigarettes were reportedly stolen between 9:30 a.m. and noon Aug. 6 from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 300 block of East Roosevelt Road.

Theft

• Jeremy Garbacz, 21, of the 0 to 100 block of North Prater Avenue, Northlake, was charged at 2:56 p.m. Aug. 7 with retail theft after allegedly stealing perfume and clothing from JCPenney, 175 Yorktown Shopping Center.

• Seema Begum, 26, of the 4500 block of Garden Quarter Road, McHenry, was charged at 8:04 p.m. Aug. 7 with retail theft after allegedly stealing a wallet and sunglasses from Von Maur, 145 Yorktown Shopping Center.

• Six landscape stones were reportedly stolen and a flower pot damaged between midnight and 6 a.m. Aug. 8 in the 1000 block of South Grace Street.

• Board meeting signs were reportedly stolen between noon Aug. 5 and 9:58 a.m. Aug. 8 from the first floor hallway and garage of a building in the 200 block of West St. Charles Road.

• A package containing a cellphone was reported stolen at 11:35 a.m. Aug. 8 at the National University of Health Sciences, 200 E. Roosevelt Road.

• Florencio Marquez, 39, of the 0 to 100 block of North Church Street, Addison, was charged at 2:52 p.m. Aug. 8 with retail theft after allegedly stealing a hat from Von Maur, 145 Yorktown Shopping Center.

• Hiba Khan, 21, of the 22W400 block of Illinois Route 53, Glen Ellyn, was charged at 3:02 p.m. Aug. 8 with retail theft after allegedly stealing clothing from JCPenney, 175 Yorktown Shopping Center.

• An All Traffic Solutions radar sign was reportedly stolen between July 24 and 4:58 p.m. Aug. 8 from a light pole at West Maple and South Lincoln streets.

• Juan Ramirez, 22, of the 1000 block of East Division Street, Lombard, was charged at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 8 with retail theft after allegedly stealing clothing from JCPenney, 175 Yorktown Shopping Center.

• A homemade real estate sign was reported stolen at 6:57 p.m. Aug. 8 from a yard in the 200 block of North Broadview Avenue.

• Two juveniles were charged at 7:27 p.m. Aug. 8 with retail theft after allegedly stealing cosmetics from JCPenney, 175 Yorktown Shopping Center.

• A vehicle was reportedly stolen between 9 and 10:30 p.m. Aug. 7 at Lucky Strike Lombard, 100 Yorktown Shopping Center.

DUI

• Calyssa Collier, 21, of the 500 block of South Edson Avenue, Lombard, was charged at 11:34 p.m. Aug. 7 with driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, illegal transportation of alcohol and speeding at East Wilson Avenue and South Main Street.

• Tomas Galeana-Gonzalez, 27, of the 800 block of Foxworth Boulevard, Lombard, was charged at 2:13 a.m. Aug. 8 with DUI of alcohol and speeding at South Finley and Roosevelt roads.

• Xochilt Saladana, 50, of the 100 block of South 21st Avenue, Maywood, was charged at 2:14 a.m. Aug. 8 with DUI of alcohol at West Madison Street and South Columbine Avenue.

Property damage

• Donald Ewalt, 45, of the 700 block of East Lemoyne Avenue, Lombard, was charged at 2:49 a.m. Aug. 8 with criminal damage to vehicle in the 400 block of Crescent Boulevard.

• A parked vehicle's antenna was reported broken off at 2:12 p.m. Aug. 8 in the 400 block of West Crescent Boulevard.

• Several stickers and missing cat posters placed on street signs and traffic light posts were reported at 10:26 a.m. Aug. 7 at South Westmore Avenue and East Washington Boulevard.

Fraud

Several unauthorized purchases made with a debit card were reported at 11:22 a.m. Aug. 7 at a business in the 200 block of East Roosevelt Road.

Threat

Threatening messages posted on a person's YouTube channel were reported at 12:24 p.m. Aug. 7 in the 300 block of North Stewart Avenue.

Warrant arrest

• Eleanor Thompson, 46, of the 300 block of South Ardmore Avenue, Villa Park, was arrested at 5:23 p.m. Aug. 7 on an unspecified DuPage County Sheriff 's Office warrant in the 200 block of North Westmore Avenue.

• Toure Banks, 18, of the 0 to 100 block of West Ann Street, Lombard, was charged at 2:45 p.m. Aug. 8 on an unspecified DuPage County Sheriff's Office warrant at West Ann and South Main streets.

Disturbance

• A loud party was reported at 8:33 p.m. Aug. 7 at a pool in the 2200 block of South Highland Avenue. Police stood by while the partygoers were told to leave the pool area.

• Fireworks were reported at 8:48 p.m. Aug. 7 at Hawthorne Circle and Cherry Lane. The area was checked, and no fireworks were found.

• A loud discussion among neighbors was reported at 2:28 a.m. Aug. 8 in the 0 to 100 block of South Second Avenue. The area was checked, and no one was found.

• Loud music was reported at 11:36 p.m. Aug. 8 at a school in the 700 block of East Pleasant Lane.

Suspicious activity

• Two individuals sitting in a vehicle were instructed by police to leave the area at 1:04 a.m. Aug. 7 at a parking lot in Sunset Knolls Park, 820 S. Finley Road.

• Window screens that were tampered with were reported at 9:17 a.m. Aug. 7 in the 500 block of South Stewart Avenue.

• A person reportedly returned after being told by an employee to leave at 9:20 a.m. Aug. 7 at a hotel in the 2000 block of South Highland Avenue.

• An email requesting that a fellow employee process a payment of $82,000 was reported at 10:46 a.m. Aug. 7 at a business in the 600 block of West North Avenue. Another employee said she never sent the email requesting the payment be processed.

• An occupied vehicle was reported at 11:10 a.m. Aug. 7 in the parking lot of a business in the 1100 block of North Main Street. The area was checked, and no one was found.

• An intoxicated person reportedly directed obscene comments to a jogger at 8:10 p.m. Aug. 8 at South Lewis Avenue and East Wilson Road. The area was checked, and no one was found.

• A man in a pickup truck was reportedly watching a female juvenile at 8:19 p.m. Aug. 8 at the Westlake Recreation Center, 1514 S. Main St. The area was checked, and no one was found.

• Four juveniles were transported home by police at 8:38 p.m. Aug. 8 following a report they had rung a doorbell in the 300 block of West Collen Drive and subsequently fled the area.

Underage drinking

Ryan Huff, 18, of the 100 block of East Ash Street, Lombard, was charged at 2:57 a.m. Aug. 7 with consumption of alcohol by a minor at South Lombard Avenue and East Taylor Road.

Drug paraphernalia possession

Ryan Isler, 24, of the 0 to 100 block of South Westmore Avenue, Lombard, was charged at 3:10 p.m. Aug. 8 with possession of drug paraphernalia following a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 0 to 100 block of West Westmore Avenue. Police said Isler was in possession of homemade pipes.

Animal complaint

• An illegal trap was reported at 9:25 a.m. Aug. 7 on the property of a school in the 300 block of North Elizabeth Street.

• A person was reportedly walking dogs off leashes and failing to pick up after them at 10:37 a.m. Aug. 8 in the 100 block of West 20th Street. The dog owner said she would be more careful in the future.

Found item

• A bicycle was reported found at 12:32 p.m. Aug. 7 at a business in the 800 block of South Finley Road.

• Paperwork and a memo were reported found at 9:13 p.m. Aug. 7 at the Lombard Police Department, 235 E. Wilson Ave.

Lost item

A wallet was reported lost at 2:40 p.m. Aug. 7 at Jewel-Osco, 1177 S. Main St.
