DUI

Alexis T. Handelman, 18, of the 1400 block of Stonebridge Circle, Wheaton, was charged at 3:04 a.m. July 10 with driving under the influence of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and improper lane use at Roosevelt Road and Greenwood Street.

Public intoxication

• Cody Lee Costello, 25, of the 1600 block of Arbor Lane, Crest Hill, was charged at 9:52 a.m. July 11 with public intoxication in the 1100 block of Roosevelt Road.

• Michael B. Kochan, 34, of the 1600 block of South Michigan Avenue, Villa Park, was charged at 6:08 p.m. July 6 with public intoxication in the 400 block of Main Street.

Drinking in public

• Jon M. Kieta, 55, of the 2N500 block of Bernice Avenue, Glen Ellyn, was charged at 10:53 p.m. July 11 with unlawful consumption of alcohol in a public place at Lake Ellyn Park, 645 Lenox Road.

• Alexander J. Nesteruk, 25, of the 700 block of West Liberty Drive, Wheaton, was charged at 3:54 p.m. July 9 with unlawful consumption of alcohol in a public place at Shell, 631 Roosevelt Road.

Burglary

Someone attempted to break in to a locked vehicle in a driveway at 10:15 p.m. July 10 in the 900 block of Roslyn Road. The homeowner was alerted to the attempt when the vehicle’s alarm was activated.

Theft

Anthony L. Moore, 24, of the 1000 block of Lake Street, Hanover Park, was charged July 9 with theft of lost or mislaid property at the Glen Ellyn Police Department, stemming from an incident May 31.

Fraud

Fraudulent purchases were made with credit cards from a lost or stolen wallet between 8:30 and 11 a.m. July 8 at Panera Bread, 541 Roosevelt Road.

Forgery

Dismiss Jaji, 39, of the 6600 block of West Devon Avenue, Chicago, was charged July 10 with forgery at the Glen Ellyn Police Department, stemming from an incident Jan. 18.

Property damage

• A residential mailbox was knocked off a roadway between 7:30 p.m. July 11 and 12:45 p.m. July 12 in the 600 block of Lake Road.

• A windshield wiper was broken off a vehicle at 3:52 p.m. July 11 in the 200 block of Spring Avenue.

Revoked license

Richard D. Remot, 36, of the 500 block of Lynn Court, Glendale Heights, was charged at 9:56 a.m. July 7 with driving with a revoked license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, illegal transportation of alcohol and disobeying a stop sign at Route 53 and Surrey Drive.
