Kishwaukee College named Bruce Griffith of Sycamore as the recipient of the 2015 John C. Roberts Community Service Award. The award was given to Griffith during commencement ceremonies at KC on May 16. The award was established in 2009 to recognize the importance of community members in the success of the college. Griffith has been a lifelong advocate of education and service to the community. After being a successful business owner in DeKalb County for 30 years, he turned his energy to working with students at the Kishwaukee Education Consortium as the special program consultant. Griffith is responsible for developing the aviation program at KEC and overseeing development of many other programs. He has guided and mentored hundreds of local young people and has been a strong supporter of the mission of KC.
