LA GRANGE – Although it’s only been a month since Orange Theory Fitness opened its doors in La Grange, the number of residents looking for a work out at the gym has been astounding, owner Jacquie Fowler said.
Orange Theory Fitness opened its La Grange location at 10 N. Ashland Ave. on May 1.
“I opened originally in Willowbrook, and looked toward La Grange, but couldn’t find the right place,” said Fowler, a resident of Hinsdale. “We lucked out in this place. It’s a great spot, the demographic is perfect. There are young health conscious families and established families. We’ve had a great reception since day one.”
The location may look small, but Fowler said the fitness center uses all the space available, with a full compliment of weights and cardio equipment.
“It’s heart rate-monitored, so everyone works at their own pace,” said Fowler of Orange Theory Fitness’ exercise philosophy. “Every class is a full body workout.”
Orange Theory Fitness has large group exercise classes practically every hour. Head Trainer William Liptak said even in a large group, Orange Theory’s workout regimen is designed for beginners and seasoned pros alike.
“My job is to facilitate the need to give people an extra calling to let them do their job and have fun,” said Liptak. “You can have a marathon runner next to a power walker, but we make sure everyone has a good time no matter [what] their level is.”
