Rotary meeting

WALNUT — Carol Alcorn, executive director of the Illinois Valley Public Action to Deliver, will speak at the Walnut Rotary Club meeting at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, at the Walnut Cafe.

Meeting

PRINCETON — The Princeton Juniors Home Extension will hold its meeting at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 12. The hostess is Myrna Roggy, co-hostess is Joann Brahm and the leader is Deborah Monroe.

Rossler benefit

LAMOILLE — A benefit for Kevin Rossler of Malden will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 2, at the LaMoille Lions Club. Food will be served and there will be events held throughout the day including live music, live and silent auctions, and a “Miss” Benefit contest. The cost is $15 per person and children 10 and under cost $7. For more information, contact Les Bend at 815-866-3259 or Shelley Dinges at 815-866-2314. Earlier this year Rossler was diagnosed with treatable but not curable cancer.

Parker benefit

LASALLE — A benefit for Lorrie (Respel) Parker will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 23, at the Paramount Club in LaSalle. The event will include food, entertainment, a 50/50, door prizes and a silent auction. Tickets are $20 in advance by calling 815-830-2488 by May 21 or $25 at the door. Proceeds will go to cancer research.

Open house

PRINCETON — A meet and greet for Danielle Saletzki, the new Just for Kix director, will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, at the Princeton Arts Academy. This will event will also kick off the fall registration. New this year are jazz, lyrical and hip hop classes.

PHS baccalaureate

PRINCETON — Bureau County pastors will sponsor a baccalaureate service for the Princeton High School graduating class and their families and friends at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 17, in the Princeton High School auditorium. The service includes speakers from the graduating class, music, Bible readings, prayer and a keynote address from Rob Jensen. The baccalaureate is optional for students.

Computer class

WYANET — The Wyanet library will hold its last computer class at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 12. Dorene Stalter will be at the library for fun and questions about computers.
