MARENGO – Officials at the Marengo Township Highway Department are accepting appointments for an electronic recycling program that starts Monday.
Televisions and CRT monitors require a 14-cent per pound donation. All other electronics can be recycled for free at the department, 4010 N. Route 23, Marengo.
The department also is hosting free paint recycling events for township residents April 25, June 27 and Sept. 26. People outside of the township will be charged a disposal fee.
The department can only accept latex or oil based paints and stains. Paint pails more than 5 gallons must not include rollers, screens or other contents.
