Aaron Frank, 17, of Rock Falls, is the Rock Falls High School December Student of the Month. He is the son of Tom and Laurie Frank, and he has a sister, Hailey, 13.
Favorite class: CEO (Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities), the real-world application
Least-favorite class: Calculus. Everything about it is frustrating.
Favorite teacher: Le Hartman, CEO class. She makes our class think independently, but she still helps us.
School activities: Junior Optimist Club; golf; upcoming government election

Do you have a job? Yes, I'm a lineman at Whiteside County Airport.
What will you do after high school? Major in economics at one of the following: University of Chicago, Harvard, Columbia, Yale, Princeton
What is something you learned in high school that you think you will never use? How to find moles in chemistry
What kind of music are you listening to? My girl, Taylor Swift, Florida Georgia Line, Fall Out Boy
Do you have a hobby? Working on my car
Is there a celebrity you identify with? Michael Jordan. His Hall of Fame speech is exactly how I act – doubters and rejection are motivation.
What's the one thing in your life you can't do without? My car
What is your advice for surviving high school? Read my book when I publish it in May.
What scares you? I hate bats. They like to fly at me when I'm outside.
What's something about you that nobody knows? There isn't anything. I'm not very secretive.
If you could ask President Obama any question, what would it be? How do you deal with all the hate?
If you could try any job for a day, what would it be? I would love to spend a day in the shoes of Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JP Morgan.
If you could go anywhere in the world for free, where would it be? New Zealand: I've heard it's beautiful.
What is the last good book you read? "Divergent" by Veronica Roth was a good book. It was different in a good way.
What is your proudest moment? Getting my ACT score back – the score impressed me.
Who is your hero/role model? KJ Conklin was the person who inspired me to keep trying, regardless of circumstances. He graduated from RFHS 3 years ago. He taught me a lot about life. He was a good student and he stayed out of trouble.
