VOLO – A Lindenhurst man died Tuesday in a five-vehicle crash along Route 120, the Lake County Coroner's Office said.
An autopsy of Gordon Searle, 46, is scheduled for Wednesday, the coroner's office said.
Another male, who was Searle's passenger but wasn't identified, was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. The person's condition is not known, said Sgt. Sara Balmes of the Lake County Sheriff's Office.
About 9:30 a.m., Searle was driving in a Honda Accord west on Route 120 west of Fisher Road when he collided with a GMC 3500 van going east on Route 120, Balmes said.
Debris from the crash struck a UPS delivery truck going west on Route 120. Subsequently, the GMC 3500 struck a parked Ford 350 pickup truck and parked landscape trailer, Balmes said.
The crash is still under investigation.
Route 120 was closed for about six and a half hours after the crash.
