Holiday shopping can be a chore when your children have to tag along. It’s distracting, and you can’t be as efficient and quick as you would be if you were alone. Not only that, it’s impossible to shop for the ones you have to bring with you!
It’s difficult to find a well-staffed, safe, fun, and clean environment where you can leave your child(ren) for a few hours. If you have family who can babysit your children, you’re lucky. If you don’t, there are alternatives.
The Geneva Parks District offers a unique opportunity to residents and non-residents alike. While being especially convenient during the holiday season, it’s actually offered year-round. At the Stephen D. Persinger Recreation Center, located at 3507 Kaneville Rd in Geneva, drop-in child care is available, and you don’t have to be a member to use this wonderful opportunity.
“The Kidz Korral Babysitting service provides parents an affordable, safe and fun environment for children to play. The farm themed playground allows parents to get away for a couple hours to get in a workout, have lunch with friends, run errands or get their holiday shopping done. We are here when you need us, no reservations required. Our goal is to make this service as convenient as possible for parents,” said Mickey Boyle, SPRC Facility/Aquatics Manager.
The Drop ‘n Play service is offered Monday - Thursday 12-7 pm, Friday 12-5 pm, and Saturday 8 am-12 pm. SPRC members are additionally offered 8 am - 12 pm Monday through Friday.
