Second grade students at Arbury Hills School in Mokena study germination

MOKENA – In Carla Ervick’s second grade science class at Arbury Hills School in Mokena, students learned about living and nonliving things. They studied about their needs of animals and plants. As a culminating activity, students planted bean seeds in clear cups. They watched the germination begin, and studied roots, stems, and leaves and the purposes of each.
