BEACH PARK – A 26-year-old Beach Park man died in a one-car crash early Saturday morning on Green Bay Road near Bonnie Brook Lane, in Beach Park, according to a news release.
Nelson Delgado, of the 37700 block of Metropolitan Ave., was traveling northbound on Green Bay Road when his Acura struck and wrapped around a tree tree north of the Bonnie Brook Lane intersection about 2:45 a.m., the release says.
The Lake County Sheriff's Office is investigating the case; however, excessive speed appears to be a factor in the crash.
