While laser hair removal can cause some discomfort, “if the hair really bothers you it is totally worth it,” Malinowski said.

Laser hair removal can be done on most parts of the body, except the ears and eyebrows. And through the procedure, hundreds of hair follicles can be disabled in less than one second.

Hair growth takes place in cycles of growth and resting phases. Only hair that is actively growing can be removed at each treatment session so several treatment sessions will be necessary.
