Face Time with Katy Leuth

South Elgin resident Katy Leuth was with her dog, Jake, and grandson, Dylan Popoca-Leuth, 11, at the Hickory Knolls Discovery Center dog park in St. Charles when she answered 10 questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.

Where did you grow up? Middlesboro, Kentucky

Pets? Jake, a mixed breed dog from 4 Paws 4 U 4 Ever

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Sissy Spacek

First job? Washing dishes

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A stay-at-home mom. I did that for a while. Now I work at Elgin Mental Health Center in Elgin.

A book you'd recommend? "Heaven is for Real"

Favorite charity? Any animal charity, Child Fund International, formerly the Christian Children's Fund and Guide Dogs for the Blind

What game show would you be on? "Wheel of Fortune"

Favorite local restaurant? Red Lobster

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I am a coal miner's daughter.
