NEW LENOX – A Tinley Park man was killed Wednesday when his car struck a semitrailer on Interstate 355.
The Will County Coroner’s office said Nicholas T. Umgelder, 36, struck the rear of the semitrailer near Interstate 80. Umgelder was taken to Silver Cross Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5:46 p.m.
State police are investigating the crash.
