Franks will celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Frank of 1805 Sycamore St., Peru, formerly of Princeton, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday.

Marvin Frank and the former Nancy Nelson were married June 21, 1964, in the First Baptist Church of Princeton by the Rev. Everett Chambers. They are the parents of two sons, Scott (Patti) Frank of Princeton and Todd (Michelle) Frank of Washington, Ill. They also have four grandchildren, Rachel and Ryan Frank of Princeton, and Colton and Dylan Frank of Washington, Ill.; and their best friend, “Buddy”.

Marvin is a veteran of the U.S. Army and was employed 27 years at Browning Ford in Princeton, owned and operated his own trucking business, M&N Frank Trucking Inc. for eight years and was employed 12 years as a truck driver for Helena Chemical Co. in Princeton. He retired in 2012.

Nancy was in the business field starting at J.I. Case Co. in Bettendorf, Iowa. She was also employed at Trimble Greenhouse, Harper-Wyman and Josten’s Inc. in Princeton, Illinois Power Co. in Hennepin and was secretary to their own trucking business. She retired in 1999,

They enjoy their home, nature, some travel, taking walks with “Buddy”, and treasure the time spent with family and friends. They were members of the First Baptist Church of Princeton for 45 years.

They plan to celebrate their anniversary by taking a trip to New York City.
