WHEATON – A pair of celebrities from Wheaton were recently inducted into the Wheaton Community High Schools Hall of Fame, according to a news release from the WCHS Men's Alumni Club.
Comedian and actor John Belushi and NBA coach and general manager Randy Pfund both recently joined the ranks of alumni such as astronomer Edwin Hubble, football star Red Grange, Watergate journalist Bob Woodward and many more, the release said.
Belushi, star of "Saturday Night Live," "Animal House" and "The Blues Brothers," graduated from Wheaton Central – now Wheaton Warrenville South – in 1967.
Pfund, who served as head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers from 1992 to 1993 and as general manager of the Miami Heat for 13 seasons through 2008, graduated from Wheaton North in 1969.
Both were approved with a vote from the 150 club members, the release said.
