50th anniversary
Jim and Sandy Quiram of Sycamore will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 1, 2013.
James Quiram and Sandra Smith were married on Sept. 1, 1963, at the First Congregational Church in Elmhurst.
Jim is a funeral director and former owner of Quiram Funeral Directors Ltd. Sandy is a registered dietician.
They have one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Ryan Stoffregen, and three granddaughters, Lauryn, Sydni and Rylie, all of Kingston.
A family celebration has been planned.
80th birthday
E. Farrlell Durham of Sycamore will celebrate his 80th birthday on Sept. 4. Ferrell was born Sept. 4, 1933, in Marion to Ernest and Helen Durham.
He was married on Sept. 15, 1957, to Darlene L. Burgess of Dixon. They have two daughters, Lisa (Peter) Clark of DeKalb and Allyson (Marc) Davis of Streamwood, and two grandchildren, Jay and Lindsey Clark of DeKalb.
A birthday dinner will be celebrated Aug. 31 at Nats on Maple in Sycamore. Cards and memories would be appreciated. They can be sent to 1630 Kaylee Court, Sycamore, IL 60178.
85th and 90th birthday
Hazel (Hart) Stryker will celebrate her 90th birthday on Sept. 3. Hazel, born in DeKalb County, has spent most of her life in the Waterman area with a few years living in Florida. She worked for DeKalb Ag before her marriage to Wayne Stryker, who also celebrates his birthday in September.
Wayne Stryker, also born in DeKalb County, will be 85 on Sept. 21. Many will remember Hazel and Wayne for the Stryker Egg Factory on Waterman Road and their home delivery.
Hazel and Wayne now reside at Heritage Woods, 2626 N. Annie Glidden Road, DeKalb, IL, 60115.
Their family is asking friends to send card to the couple to share memories and celebrate their birthdays.
The couple's nine children, 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren will hold a private gathering to celebrate.
Viland-Clark
Tasha Viland and Robert Clark, both of DeKalb, were married Aug. 15, 2013, at Sunset Cliffs in San Diego, Calif.
The bride is thee daughter of Marlene Viland of Cortland and the groom is the son of Joan Clark of DeKalb.
The maid of honor was Hayleigh Meinen, daughter of the couple. The bridesmaid was Kaelynn Clark, daughter of the couple; and flower girl was Raelene Clark, daughter of the couple.
The best man was Tom Carpenter of Galesville, Wis., friend. The groomsman was Thomas Clark, son of the couple; and ring bearer was Jaece Clark, son of the couple.
The couple resides in DeKalb.
