Ronald E. Robnett

ROCK FALLS – Ronald E. Robnett, 79, of Rock Falls, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at his home. He was a truck driver for more than 50 years.

He was born Sept. 19, 1933, in Morrison, the son of Arnold and Esther (Gregory) Robnett. He married Mary Elizabeth Schaffner. He then married Nancy Hay on June 7, 1969. She died March 13, 2000.

Survivors include his children, Cindy Robnett of Sterling, Ron (April) Robnett of Rock Falls, Sandy (Howard) McDole of Texas, Vicky (Brad) Stoecker of Morrison, Gail (Sam Funderberg) Robnett of Texas, and Michelle (Clayton) Thompson of Prophetstown; his sister, Charel (David) Zuidema of Morrison; his special friend, Linda Jones of Rock Falls; 20 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Marie in infancy; and his parents.

A gathering of friends and family will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Monday and the memorial service at 10 a.m. Monday at McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory in Rock Falls, with the Rev. Dalmus Meeks officiating.
