As Metalmaster Roofmaster Inc. celebrated its 35th anniversary on Nov. 17, the McHenry-based corporation announced the promotion of Richard E. Biosca of Huntley to vice president of operations.

Biosca joined Metalmaster Roofmaster in 2007 as the company’s first and only in-house corporate counsel. In his new position, he will be actively involved in the management of all of the company’s operations, including human resources, estimating, sales, project management, and contracts, in addition to representing the company in all legal matters as general counsel.

“We are extremely proud of Rick and his achievements. The promotion is well-deserved,” said Michael V. Smeja, a company principal.

“We are excited about the enthusiasm, energy, and positive attitude that Rick has always brought to our work environment, and look forward to him applying that to his new position,” added Daniel F. Smeja, another company principal.

Biosca received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois, and juris doctor degree from the DePaul University College of Law. Prior to joining Metalmaster Roofmaster, he worked in private practice handling general civil litigation matters for individual and corporate clients, including at his own general practice firm.

Metalmaster Roofmaster is recognized as one of the largest commercial roofing and sheet metal contractors in North America.
