AMBOY – Mike L. “Shorty” Kuhn, 57, formerly of Oregon, died Thursday, April 26, 2012, at his home in Amboy.
He was born Dec. 5, 1954, in Dixon, the son of Donald and Bernita (Hinrichs) Kuhn. He was a 1973 graduate of Oregon High School and served in the Navy. Shorty lived in Amboy the past 8 years and was a self-employed car body and fender man. He enjoyed gardening and loved music. He enjoyed spending time with his dog, Barbie.
He is survived by his mother, Bernita Kuhn of Oregon; girlfriend, Bonnie Montoya of Amboy; sister-in-law, Betty Kuhn of Woosung; nieces, Tonya (Brian) Lofgren of Sterling and Tessa (David Sanchez) Kuhn of Parker, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father, Don; and brother, Steven.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home in Oregon. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lighthouse Cemetery in rural Oregon.
