WOODSTOCK – The Employee Engagement Team of Catalent Pharma Solutions in Woodstock raised $1,000 to help provide access to health care for the uninsured of McHenry County.
Putting their lean manufacturing principles in place, employees were able to bid on office furniture and equipment that were no longer needed. All of the money raised in February went to the Family Health Partnership Clinic in Woodstock.
“This is a triple win proposition,” said Pamela Dennis, director of human resources at Catalent. “We can keep these items out of the waste stream and our work area clutter free, provide employees the opportunity to obtain these items, and raise some money for a great cause.”
“We are thrilled that Catalent was able to help us,” said Cathy Patenaude, Family Health Partnership Clinic’s development coordinator.
“The clinic relies on community partners like Catalent and we love the creativity that was involved.”
